1950 Vincent HRD Rapide 1000
The last of the HRD Vincents with HRD cast into the timing cover and rocker inspection caps, this is not a standard Rapide by any means. Assembled with Lightening Vibrac rods and caged big end by famed Vincent builders Furness and Searle, the engine of this particular machine also boasts Mark 2 cams and many other engineering improvements including improved oil pump. The same attention to detail has been applied to the cycle parts. Stainless steel guards, exhaust system and fasteners (even the girdraulics have stainless steel pins) plus Lightning wheels in light aluminum rims and chronometric tachometer to match the 140mph speedo make this early Series C Rapide a cut above other Rapides. The master work of classic British bikes. Engine
