Based on the successful 1948 Triumph ISDT machines, the Trophy is considered one of Triumph's truly great bikes. The square cylinder head and barrel are the same as those used on the Lancaster bomber's generator in WW2. By 1951, this had been replaced by the more common close picth fins making the earlier Trophy a far more desirable machine. The Trophy boasts a shorter wheelbase frame, chrome tank, QD headlight and rear wheel and pipes paired high on the left side. This particular bike has matching engine and frame numbers and, although restored some years ago, has been meticulously maintained.
