Triumph Supremo Edward Turner's masterpiece altered the face of post-war motorcycling. This is the design that all the other manufacturerÕs copied a decade or so later but the Speed twin was the first and the original. Designed to fit in the existing range of Triumph single cycle parts, the parallel twin Triumph was easy to start, fast, reliable and, when compared with singles, vibration free. The elegant, compact and inexpensive to manufacture parallel engine spelled the end of the expensive, bulky V-twins of the era. This is a superbly restored example of the original 6 stud engine (changed to 8 stud in 1939).
