From
1930, single cylinder overhead camshaft Nortons
dominated road racing around the globe. Indeed, so widespread
was Norton's racing success, production models were named
"International". In post war years, success continued
unabated for the silver and black Nortons; GP victories continuing
to 1969, some 7 years after the last 'Manxes' were built!
Four decades of success bears testament not only to the enduring
qualities of Arthur Carroll's design but also to the tuning
wizardry of development engineer Joe Craig.
This site is dedicated to the long stroke motorcycles that
made Norton's reputation. If you want to purchase a particular
machine, are struggling to find an unobtainable component,
need information or want a machine identified, email us and
we may be able to help. Likewise, we can put your thoroughbred
on our site. And when it comes to engine assembly, our detailed
workshop manual will show you how.... step by step.
